▶︎ In Ear detection for Spotify* (only with AirPods; experimental)

▶︎ supports:
» AirPods 1
» AirPods 2
» AirPods Pro
» BeatsX
» Powerbeats3
» Powerbeats Pro
» Beats Solo3
» Beats Studio3

* This feature must be manually activated in the settings.

The battery status is displayed with an interval size of 10% (Full | 95% | 85% ...), because the devices only send their battery state with this accuracy. Also the case of the AirPods misses a Bluetooth transmitter. Therefore, the battery level of the case is only displayed when at least one AirPod is inserted in the case.

The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) interface. The API for Bluetooth LE only works with Location Permission, because the beacons for indoor navigation also uses Bluetooth LE.

The only known way to customize AirPods and change the double-tap functionality is connecting with an iPhone or Macbook. After then you can use the changed the double-tap functionality with Android.

Huawei, Xiami, Vivo, Oppo and other Chinese branded phones may not work with this app. These companies don't always use standard Bluetooth hardware in their phones.

That's a nice idea and the app is not totally bad. However, there is a problem with the volume bar. Sometimes the volume regulation just does't work (Airpods Pro, Google Pixel 3). Without the app installed, there is no problem at all. To support the development, I bought the pro version of the app, and I hope it is going to improve in the future. For now, I had to uninstall it.

My Airpods are loud every time I press play:
This is a bug in the AirPods firmware. But you can borrow an iOS device to update them. Please refer to the internet to see how to do this. Another workaround is to disable the "absolute volume" on Android.

The app is pretty decent. I upgraded to Pro pretty quick after seeing the ads which annoyed me and I dont regret that purchase. My AirPods connect seamlessly and quickly; however, there are numerous downsides to this app. Firstly, the battery indication popup for the AirPods and case does not detect them 90% of the time. When I first got them, it worked fine, but I have been using them for a week now and I haven't seen the battery status of my AirPods or case in days, I just charge based on my intuition. Secondly, the notification bar doesn't really work either. Although I don't use it often and would prefer to just see my battery status when I open the case, it is still annoying when I want to quickly check it after using them for an hour or so just to see "No AirPods found". I read some reviews on this app outside of Google Play and they said that the battery values were always showing, but my own experiences contradict that. It would be great to see an improvement in the connectivity so I can monitor the charge like I would on a iPhone.

Good app. It fairly reliably shows battery percentage. In Ear detection is pretty spotty but I don't use that so no real complaints on that front. My main problem is that I bought Pro, but I constantly need to "refresh" that purchase (click on a blanked out pro feature, it'll say "you already own that, then it'll let me use it without buying it again). It worked properly for a bit, then just gave out one day.
