The ultimate goal of FundaHigado America is to establish living donor pediatric liver transplant programs that are sustainable and autonomous in the region. In places like Venezuela, where we have established a sustainable transplant program since 2001, we have given hope to numerous children who might otherwise have lost their battle against serious liver diseases. Today, this program remains the only one of its kind in the country, demonstrating the viability and effectiveness of our long-term strategy.
