Ratings and reviews

Played for several years. This is a quality jrpg game despite the gacha aspect, but technical issues are massively holding it back. Regardless of your download speed, you can expect every update to take hours. And that's if you allow the game to remain in focus, because downloading in the background doesn't appear to happen. For a mobile game, that's a big problem because by the time it finishes (if it does), your window to play is gone. Update: this is still an issue.

I've been playing this game since the game first came out even though the gacha rates are very low for the characters. The story was amazing and the collaborations that stayed in the game like Final Fantasy. My biggest issue is that how predatory this game has become. I wouldn't mind viewing ads for a small number of currency, but most of my ads that I've seen are panty shots, censored circles, provocative AI poses, and live sex chats. This game does that fit that image and predatory purchases.

I'm loving this game! The storyline is engaging & good for mental health, the graphics are stunning, and the mechanics are simple at first and gradually become more complicated. (I'm not a strategist, but the Reddit community is super helpful.) Time travel has always fascinated me, so that's a major hook. But they also have all these side stories you can play, including collabs with other games (like Chrono Trigger and FFIX - though some content is expiring soon). So much fun - plus cats!!
