To use the transport modes in Whim (public transport, e-scooters, shared bikes, rental cars, shared cars, taxis), you plan, book, and pay all in one app. You can choose to travel by public transport -- like bus, train, tram, metro, ferry -- e-scooters, shared bikes, city bikes, rental and shared cars and taxis. Find your best travel option or combine different transport modes thanks to our journey planner.

The Whim app is free to download and install. You can pay per ride or subscribe to a convenient mobility package or season ticket (availability varies depending on location).

📱 How to use Whim:

1. Download and install the Whim app free of charge and register (required just once)

2. Enter your payment information once to plan, book, and pay for rides quickly. Once again the Whim app is free; you only pay for the trips you make, packages you purchase or subscriptions.

3. Select the transport option according to your needs or use the journey planner to find the best route.

4. Book and pay all without having to leave the app.

Why hadnt someone already made this?? There's so many apps today for different taxi services, e scooters, public transit, etc etc. It's frustrating going to a new town and having to install a bunch of new apps. I'm surprised someone hadn't created an app like this earlier , it's so much simpler. If I had one complaint it's that sometimes the app has trouble with e scooters. A few times I haven't been able to activate them due to a weird glitch.

Used Whim in Helsinki for public transport and e-scooters, these two use cases were reliable. I also tried to rent a car through the app, but my reservation was canceled after few minutes with no explanation. Customer service in English works only Monday - Thursday, so I couldn't reach support. When I tried to book taxi to the airport through the app, it claimed there were no taxis available in Monday afternoon. So while the idea of one stop transport app sounds tempting, the results are mixed.

Useful and cheap alternative. The missing star would mean. - Unlimited offering 30-day ticket instead of separate ones. - Possibility to alter rentals without canceling them... - ...and the app communicating in real time with the service providers so that canceled rental days would appear in the quota without contacting the Whim support. - Seeing in advance which locations offer weekend cars. - More taxis and functional tracking on all taxis. + Support response time is very good if not great.
