Update: issue was fixed the next time I checked the app. Maybe just a temporary bug, I don't know. This app is very good/useful. (My only complaint is that **the in-app articles should be available offline**, at least optionally). Old review: It worked great for a long time. Now, it doesn't let me add locations (nothing comes up when I enter a city or zipcode). I tried un/reinstalling, but now I can't get any local information. Will fix review if issue is fixed

I keep getting the same "Wind Chill Advisory" alert every 10-20 minutes. I had to disable it because it was going for over 2 hours now. Update: Disabling the "Wind Chill Advisory" didn't help. I'm still getting spammed by the same alert. I even restarted my phone. I guess I'll disable a few categories. Update 2: I literally toggled off all alerts in the alert preferences and I still keep getting those notifications. Uninstalling. 12/15/2024: Alert preferences are still not working.

Our apologies for the repeated alerts. The nationwide “bomb cyclone” weather event last week led to so many messages from local weather service offices, it overwhelmed our servers. Because of this, App alerts were being issued in unexpected (and often annoying) ways. These issues were resolved the following day.

NO ADs, no delays getting timely, pertinent, & accurate information throughout the country. Connection to resources and shelters at your fingertips. Great preparation information to prevent or reduce harm. I recommend this app in-person to everyone (my nephews would think I'm a broken record of they knew what that meant). Very responsive tech team. Rarely do they change the format/GUI, so everything is exactly where you expect it every time, which is critical in a real emergency.
