I've had the FEMA app on my phone for years. I am very glad the service is available. I have chosen the option of receiving FEMA's alerts on my phone & I find it to be very reliable. I get alerts for my home location & also for a location that I frequently visit. It has been very accurate in it's information. My family and I have used it to time our travels, for example in winter when out-of-town travel takes place for winter holiday get-togethers.

Update: issue was fixed the next time I checked the app. Maybe just a temporary bug, I don't know. This app is very good/useful. (My only complaint is that **the in-app articles should be available offline**, at least optionally). Old review: It worked great for a long time. Now, it doesn't let me add locations (nothing comes up when I enter a city or zipcode). I tried un/reinstalling, but now I can't get any local information. Will fix review if issue is fixed

Hi Simone - Our apologies that you have been unable to add locations to the app recently. Please email us at fema-app@fema.dhs.gov so we can try to troubleshoot this and get it working properly.

No tornado alert last night during active tornado watch. Used to work, but now no alerts, no notifications. Checked all settings like silent push notifications, battery optimization, do not disturb, etc. App says "no alerts for main location". Fortunately, weather radio alerted us. This morning, confined tornadoes touched down in my township. Lost trust in the app.
