The new update will not allow me to hold my phone in portrait, only landscape. Its super zoomed in with large (useless) picd, so really hard to read anything. What the heck happened to the single page weather warnings? That is why I have this app. Not for entertainment, only for emergencies, and you changed the interfece to be useless and annoying. >.< I liked this app for its simplicity, directness and privacy to the end user. I will try it a bit longer but the changes aren't good.

After my phone's "Wireless Emergency Alerts" app quit working, for no apparent reason, I was looking for an alternative. This one seems to work with all the crazy weather we have had lately (notifications are the same as NWS). My big problem is the app says notifications are sent by TEXT message. The only way I get any messages is to connect to the internet and find if a watch/warning has been sent. To me, requiring internet service is not a text. I don't have unlimited data. What am I missing?

4/20/23 update - I love that I can program multiple cities/counties (home, work and family's house)! A recent issue is the alerts, both current and expired, keep coming through as "updated" push notifications, but upon clicking, it says expired or goes to the existing alert with no update. I restarted my phone but same issue, so I just set it to snooze for an hour but it's still happening. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Hi Katie, we're aware of the bug. Our developers published a new version yesterday - version 3.0.2 - that fixes the badge count issue that you mentioned in your review. We hope this clears up any confusion!

What's new

- Bug fix to silent notifications settings page and Prepare slideshow category title
- Added disclaimer in the Alerts section about "duplicate" alerts
