MD Unemployment for Claimants is the official Unemployment Insurance Application for the Maryland Department of Labor (LABOR).  Part of LABOR's efforts to implement the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), MD Unemployment for Claimants will allow registered claimants, including those lacking work due to COVID-19, to request benefit payment by filing weekly claim certifications.  Registered users can also review their Unemployment Insurance claims information, receive important notifications, provide their tax withholding preferences, and update their address.  All at your fingertips.

The app broken with technical issues up the wazoo. That is not the only reason I am one starring this though, every contact on that app that gives me a number to reach unemployment agents, the numbers do not work. They don't work at all, some even recommend the other numbers in the phone call, and then promptly hangs up. Unemployment is 100% unreachable, this app is broken, and Maryland is doing nothing to fix it.

I had to uninstall and reinstall the app because of update. It made me aware that it needed to update to operate properly, but there was no provision to do so. Uninstalling and reinstalling was the only option. Also, the communication preferences doesn't seem to do anything. I have it set to text, and I get a text as soon as I take an action, when in fact it should be letting me know when it is time to take an action. It's almost as if my using the app prompts it to generate a text to me.

The application name is confusing on small screen. It is hard to distinguish it from "MD Unemployment for Employers" specially if only first handful of letters is shown.
