Passport Seva Project, being executed by PSP Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, aims at providing all the Passport-related services to the Indian Citizens in a speedy, convenient and transparent manner. This is one of the largest projects of the Government of India under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) being executed in public-private-partnership mode with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as the private partner. The project is already operational and servicing citizens through 93 Passport Seva Kendras and 412 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras across India.

MEA with a view to provide mobile enablement of public services, has launched a Mobile Application ‘mPassport Seva’ to offer a wide variety of services to smartphone users such as Passport application status tracking, locating the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) and general information on various steps involved in obtaining a Passport.

The App is accessible to used for the TalkBack and accessibility, but one thing there is no audeo to listening for the letters that shows in the picture displayed. This is very important for us visually impaired citizen to access all the government Apps and websites, so I begging for the engineer development to kindly consider about us and please fix that problems. Don't forget it!

Unique Application, I have never ever seen before. Most trustworthy. I applied for reissuing my passport through website, there was no updates after paying the fees. But when I checked through app it showed the right data real time data. My payment details and scheduling the appointment has been done by app. Just unbelievable, so unique Application from Govt. of India and Passport Office.

Tasks can be performed as advertised and that's the only reason the app even gets this rating. However, user experience is sad as the app is inconvenient to use. For example, you need to login everytime you launch the app, and provide a long captcha correctly, otherwise login all over again. It is quite clear the people that approved the app haven't used it themselves.
