Excellent concept and clean interface; so I'm rating 5* for that! But app per se needs some fixes: (1) Sign up - now the user has to go to the web interface, submit my email, download the app, give the email again, get the link to login. I would've preferred to do the whole sign up from the app itself - just provide the email, and confirm/login from the link sent to email. (2) App in itself is adfree but the pages have their own ads. So please provide a 'reader mode' so that user doesn't have to navigate out of the app (3) Default browser - webpage view is loaded in Chrome by default. Not all android users have Chrome as their default browser. I use Yandex for example. So, just open the webpage view in the default browser rather than looking for Chrome/Google Discover. (4) When I click 'Upgrade', the page just flickers and nothing else happens. (5) Menu should collapse when you click outside of the menu and that's the default android app behavior. Sometimes in this app I have to click on the menu button again for the menu to close.

Hi there - thanks for the kind review and thoughtful feedback. I'm limited to 350 character replies here so can you please email me and I'll follow-up in detail? firstname.lastname@example.org
This app is fantastic. It helps me get a digest of the most informative perspectives on every newsworthy issue, rather than viral, clickbaity, misleading perspectives. The app shows the most credible articles on each topic, and includes thought-provoking polls that spur useful discussion. It shows multiple perspectives from articles and from users, preventing filter-bubble thinking. And lastly, it doesn't try to do too many things. It does its core job well, and leaves the reader to make up their own mind. I'm so glad to have found this app and to be an early adopter. I hope this app can spread, cultivating thoughtful views and discussions for more readers.

The Factual provides a helpful way to discern what news sources are more/less trustworthy and from what perspective those sources view the subjects they cover. I love the rubric for determining credibility and bias and the layout of the app makes it easy to follow up on the reporting. It's also easy to share, and find stories on current events. It's intuitively laid out and doesn't crash my 2+ year old phone, which is a surprising plus.
