Side by Side? Open Camera, Hands Down. In short, over the course of multiple phones... From the Koreans (OK, Samsung and Lucky Goldstar/LG) I have tried the stock app against Open Camera and everytime Open Camera manages to squeeze out much better imagery. I've been really happy with the Near-camera-upgrade offered by this software. It just rocks.
Everything you want in a camera.... This camera has been an upgrade from the stock camera on all devices I have tested. This includes Samsung, LG, Alcatel, Huawei, and more. Minimalistic download size, improved resolution on pictures, non-intrusive shutter sound muting, expansive settings menu, and free to use. Yes, get Open Camera and choose to support development through a donation. If your device is rooted, try a system installation and remove any unneeded cameras. You won't regret it!
Open Camera Rocks! Donating for your Open Camera app. It is better than most paid apps out there, and you maintain it with no ads. Massive respect for a non-intrusive app, when so many bombard you and put money ahead of quality. I very rarely shell out for apps, so the fact that I donated for this means I am highly impressed. Thanks for a brilliant app and for standing out in the crowd. I'm only sorry I didn't find it sooner!
Exactly what a camera app should be I dont pay/donate to many apps, unless they do something very special. Your camera app is excellent, when used on a high end phone you have so many options to tweak things if you know what you are doing, or leaving it in auto mode is just fine. Only other app I can think of I've paid for is Poweramp which does for music what your app does for photography. And its add free even without a donation. Thank you ;-)
Dude this is far more advanced There is no other system I found to like, but this one wow. I'm also an open source dev for web programing. Nice fn cam app. The settings wow, more then I can count for high functioned video and photo taking. I donated for sure. 5.1 Android lg tribute5 I'll try this on the ZTE WARP ELITE tomorrow.
Nice photos, but... First impressions are very good. Photo quality on my Note3 is excellent. But it's slow, just like every other camera I have tried on my Note3. When I say "slow" I mean there is a significant delay between pressing the button and the photo being taken. Anyway, keep up the good work Mark, it's much appreciated :-)
Updated comment to say 24 hours instead of 20 minutes (automatic refunds can happen even after 2 hours or more).
Thanks for donating!
