Ratings and reviews

Good, if you use one device. But the main annoyance is the scrolling, especially when trying to highlight text, it goes uncontrollably to the bottom, so you lose your place and train of thought, not cool. Also the ability to go from device to device would be cool, fix those two things, you'll get 5 stars. Get 6 if you add ability to add an image. Yes, I get that it's meant to be a simple text app but, what I use it for, setting up my images in the places I want, in one app, would really help.

There are many text-to-speech apps. There are very few that work well without a lot of configuration, produce quality results (voices sound good), and don't require payment. This app is over of the few. I have had this app installed for more than a year, the only negative thing I've noticed is that if you give permission for it to always run in the background it uses battery and processing power all the time.. but that's optional and even when using it it's not having a noticable effect.

This is by far the most natural-sounding TTS app I've found so far, and I've been using them for years. Ads are infrequent and not especially long, and the options are useful without being overwhelming. Voice type "American 4" is perfect in almost every regard, though I did notice that the AI sounds a tiny bit off when it reads a subjective sentence ending in a pronoun, such as "that" or "one." Yes, I realize how needless that is to point out, but it's literally the only thing that bothered me.
