About this app

“GREEN$ Mobile App” is a mobile app developed by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Its primary function is to facilitate the public to participate the GREEN$ Electronic Participation Incentive Scheme (ePIS) using smartphone. Members of the GREEN$ ePIS will earn GREEN$ for redemption of gift items when submitting recyclables at Recycling Stations, Recycling Stores and Recycling Spots for clean recycling.

After updated to version 1.3.19, the app doesn't work anymore. Called EPD. Although EPD said it's under fixing by their IT, it's still not fixed after half day! It's not tested before roll-out??

It's good that you let people accumulate points by recycling and composting. But if the points scheme becomes a requirement, which is the case for many new collection bins, it's a disincentive and even obstacle for people who don't care for accumulating points, or who don't want to bother with the app and card.

atm recycling bins are seldom emptied so when you come there to dispose of your things and then the bin tells you it's full you get quite quite annoyed 😠(i collect a large 2 week bag) - 1/ there should be a visual info to check on this app if the atm bins are full or not. 2/please update your map. i have an atm bin next to tin shing market on the street for already several months and it is not listed on your map ! so i guess there must be many more not yet listed on your map.
