About this app

Shakti Button initiative of Himachal Pradesh Police in association with National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh is meant to help citizen (women in particular) who are in distress and need help while in Himachal Pradesh.
The app provides mechanism to set up to three emergency contacts to the app user from the device's contact list.
User has to set home district where the user ordinarily resides, draft emergency message of up to 110 characters and choose emergency contacts.
Whenever in distress the user can shake the phone, throw it or can also use the RED SHAKTI Button available on the main screen to send alert.
The app sends SMS containing user's GPS coordinates to the Poilce district control room as well as to the selected emergency contacts. The app also starts audio and video recording on the device.
The app also provides helpline numbers set up by the state/central government to help citizen. The app is available in both English and Hindi.

Great initiative by himachal police, by this app we get a quick response from control room and when ever in emergency we hv to just give a click on this, n where ever we are, our location and the video will automatically starts from our phone which connects the control room. Everyone should have this. I have a personal experience so i personally recommend to download this.

I give it for its term and condition. Point on TERMINATION - This EULA agreement is effective from the date you first use the App and shall continue until terminated. You may terminate it at any time upon WRITTEN NOTICE TO NIC . Note that point WRITTEN NOTICE TO NIC. If we have 2 option to make it online or offline . It is better for public. We hope that option is added in its update. But this app is a great achievement of H.P. Police. I proud to bing a Himachali.
