Fable, fairy tale and burg is a literary-interactive mobile application intended for children, which enables listening to fables, fairy tales and urban stories in audio format via mobile phones.
Users discover them while walking through the green areas of the city of Zagreb, and the facilities are also available near kindergartens.
The application is free and available to everyone.
This innovative form of radio drama is designed through audio production by Croatian actors, sound design and music, creating a rich audio experience within an interactive application.
What makes it special is its use in the open space of the city, where the users take on a research role.
The application Basna, bajka i burg is continuously updated with new content and will be installed in other Croatian cities as well. The contents are also available in English, which makes the application part of the tourist offer of the city of Zagreb, adapted to even the youngest foreign visitors.
The BBB mobile application contains more than 90 stories set in the green areas of the city of Zagreb: Maksimir, Jelenovac, Dubravkin put, Cmrok, Ribnjak, Botanical garden, city parks, etc. While each new story is exchanged in front of more than 300 kindergartens in Zagreb.
We pay special attention to inclusion, so all content has been translated into sign language in cooperation with the Croatian Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HSGN), in order to ensure accessibility and equal enjoyment of the stories.
How to use the application?
1. Enable geolocation
Allow the use of geolocation services on your mobile device.
2. Visit the locations on the map
Audio stories will automatically unlock as soon as you approach marked locations.
3. Allow notifications
When a new audio track becomes available, you will receive a push notification. Click on it to immediately listen to the story at that location.
4. Listen to the stories again
Click on the unlocked locations on the map and enjoy the content again. Save your favorite stories as favorites for quick and easy access anytime, anywhere.
5. Explore different types of stories
Every day in front of the kindergarten you can listen to a new story, and when you head out into nature, many more await you!
