Purchase public transport ticket with mobile phone, even just before boarding the vehicle!

Registered users of National Mobile Payment Plc may purchase public transport tickets and passes through the mobile ticket application.
For more information on the mobile ticket app, terms of usage of the service and the list of available service providers, please visit https://mobiljegy.nmzrt.hu/.
Download the app and follow the registration process. Use your debit card or top-up your balance for purchase.

Mobile payment is a simple, quick and safe method to buy transport tickets without any additional fees.
In most cases daily, weekly and monthly passes do not need any further action after purchasing.
When you are boarding a bus with front door access only and within Budapest using the service on the subway, please open the mobile ticket application, press the validation button, scan the code on the bus and show the animated sign to the driver.
In case there is an ongoing ticket control at the subway entrance, please open the mobile ticket application, press the validation button, scan the code next to the entrance and show the animated sign to the controllers.

Important information about the app:

• Free to download for Android operating system
• Operating systems supported: Android 9.0 (or more recent versions)
• Simple registration procedure optimized to mobile devices


Please make sure your mobile phone is charged and has internet access.

In case you do not sign out of the application, the verified tickets are available for control scanning, while the ticket validation and visual controlling function are not available.

Not perfect, registration process and first purchase is a bit long, but after that it works well. I don't understand why I have to authenticate on every launch, though, things would be much easier without it. (I imagine all my problems are caused by the weirdly overcomplicated Hungarian legal system. 🤷‍♂️) All in all it's much better than the old paper passes and the often broken vending machines.

It was working fine. Since last update anytime I want to buy a ticket with my saved bank data it shows the following error: UNABLE TO ACCESS SERVER. PLEASE CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONECTION. I reinstalled the app, add new bank data, delete cache, etc. This keeps popping out and it's a bit annoying because I can't everytime while I'm going through the city to stop in the middle of the street to add my bank data everytime. Please fix this! The new UI is good but this a required necessary fix

It was working ok until the last update, it logged me out of my account and I forgot the username, so now I'm stuck because it won't let me use my email to log in. There should be a way to use your email address to retrieve/remember your login and password. Until that happens I'm stuck not being able to use the app... Edit: support team helped me sort out the issue, app is back to 5 stars in my book.
