What is the VoxPay balance?

The VoxPay balance is a virtual account within the app.

You can top it up in the app or at voxpay.hu using a bank card or bank transfer

Paying with balance is faster and doesn’t rely on your bank card—ideal during payment service maintenance

For example, during parking, only the balance is temporarily locked instead of your full parking fee being reserved on your bank card



What is the "Boss Pays" function?

You can create a group where one designated member, the “Boss,” pays for services used by all group members. The invoice is issued in the Boss’s name.

This is ideal for families and businesses—allowing, for instance, the family head to easily pay for children's transport passes or highway vignettes with just a few taps, hassle-free.

VoxPay Hungary is supposed to make parking simple, but instead it creates confusion at every step. The setup process is unclear, the instructions are poorly written, and the app constantly pushes you to switch between the website and the app just to upload money or activate basic features. Nothing is intuitive, nothing is streamlined, and the whole experience feels outdated. The biggest issue is the invasive data requirements!!!

up till yesterday the app was working perfecly, but today i could not start a parking, i was in a hurry, restarted it couple of times, but still nothing, hope you will resolve the issue

A very useful app when going around Hungary and especially Budapest, as it manages road tax, parking and public transit tickets all in one. However, it suffers heavily from freezes, which can be extremely annoying at times, especially when having to scan tickets or show them to the officer. Also, some notifications seem to be in Hungarian only even when the language is set to English. But all in all, a very useful app that I hope will be improved!
