I gave the game a chance. It's not bad. It has nice music that will remind you of times of the original nintendo. Graphically its original enough. Similar to gameboy. The Trail you take is comical at times mainly involves you reading new scenarios each step of the way. Which isn't bad. It's actually refreshing. I like to use my imagination. At times the main menu touch screen has some minor flaws and doesn't work 100%. But just reset it if needed. I'd say it's worth a buck.

I haven't played a ton of the game yet, but it's enjoyable and has a good sense of humor. | Edit: The "Continue" bug has been fixed, so I played the rest of the game. It's a really nice experience, and I definitely recommend it (As someone who loves RPG Maker, it being made in that is definitely a bonus). Plus, there's a certain note you can come across that I'm sure will make someone's day (Not gonna specify to avoid spoilers).

Cute game with fun writing. It's definitely worth getting if you want a game you can play on break. One thing that I would love is more art work for the random events like the fan art event.
