(Note: Musicolet doesn't fetch lyrics automatically from internet. You have to manually write or paste lyrics in tag editor, if there is no embedded lyrics. It doesn't fetch lrc file automatically. For lrc files, You have to find lrc file from internet, put it in the same folder and rename to exactly match it with audio file name manually.)

Ratings and reviews

The one. After a grueling search and 30+ apps, I am happy to say that this one won with very little actual competition. Extremely powerful, customizable, but not bloated, and user-friendly. If I had to compare this to others I'd say that it has the flow and ease of use of Samsung music and other barebones built-in music players, while having the power of a full-blown desktop client akin to foobar2000, even exceeding it in some regards! Try it, spend 2 minutes in the settings, you'll love it!

Google Play will not let me leave the review that I want to leave so just know that Musicolet is only 'okay.' It will let you create playlists but the sound quality of music playback is not great; barely good. All songs sound hollow and distant; like it's in another room not right here with you. Very tinny despite rebalancing the multiple EQ variants. It is FREE and contains NO ADS which is why I continue to use it in spite of it's shortcomings. Something is better than nothing.

This is by far the best music playing app for local files, hands-down! I just want to give some suggestions for improvement in some areas. First, there needs to be an option to make artists with different names count as one. For example, "Michael Jackson" and "Michael Jackson/Paul McCartney" should be the same artist, it is frustrating! Also some extra pro features would definitely make it more worthwhile, something as small as better customization (themes) for the menus would go a long way!
