What is BHIM?

BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) is a UPI enabled initiative to facilitate safe, easy & instant digital payments through your mobile phone.

Requirements:

Before you register on the app, please ensure the following:

You have linked your Mobile Number with your Bank Account and the same is used for accessing BHIM.

Your phone should have an active SIM linked to your Bank Account.

In case of Dual SIM, kindly ensure that you’ve selected the SIM card linked to your Bank Account.

You have a valid Debit Card for your Bank Account. This is required to generate UPI PIN.

One of the standout feature of app was its simple friendly UI, but the latest update has really made a mess of it. Too much of changes, colors, scrolling all have impacted the user friendliness of the app. After the new update, I am unable to find the "Manage Beneficiary" menu, which was available earlier. To find the transaction history, now I have to scroll to menu, which was previously available on home screen.

Useful features if it works properly. Normal features work ok. The UPI lite is an excellent feature. However, the working leaves a lot to be desired for. Transfers to the UPI lite is lost and doesn't reflect in the balances. The customer care doesn't anything about these UPI lite. Even today one of my top-up is lost with no clue on where it is. UPI helpdesk will direct you to the bank (Axis), who doesn't even know about UPI lite and only mentions the transfer is complete.

The UI you kept for so long was very user friendly and attractive. But the latest UI is just bad. And the size of the button on the page of entering UPI pin is too small it should be restored as previous one. Please restore the previous UI as well. This UI is very difficult for senior citizens who are quite reluctant to technology and I am quoting this on behalf of my mom. So it will be better if the previous UI is restored.
