Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) is an initiative to enable fast, secure, reliable cashless payments through your mobile phone. BHIM is interoperable with other Unified Payment Interface (UPI) applications, and bank accounts for quick money transfers. BHIM is developed by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). BHIM is made in India and dedicated to the service of the nation.
How Does it Work?
Register your bank account with BHIM, and set a UPI PIN for the bank account. Your mobile number is your Payment Address, and you can simply start transacting. Yes! It is that simple.
Send / Receive Money:
Make Cashless Payments or receive money from friends, family and customers through a mobile number or payment address. Money can also be sent to an unregistered user using Mobile number, Account number +IFSC and Aadhaar Number. You can also collect money by sending a request and reverse payments instantly if required.
Check Balance:
You can check your bank balance and transactions details on the go.
Custom Payment Address:
You can create a custom digital payment address in addition to your phone number.
QR Code:
You can scan a QR code for faster entry of payment addresses. Merchants can easily print their QR Code for display.
Block/ Spam:
You can Block/Spam users who are sending you collect requests from illicit sources.
Pay using Aadhaar:
Make seamless transactions using Aadhaar number.
Transaction Limits:
Per transaction maximum limit of Rs. 10,000
Per day maximum transaction limit of Rs. 20,000

How Does it Work?
Register your bank account with BHIM, and set a UPI PIN for the bank account. Your mobile number is your Payment Address, and you can simply start transacting. Yes! It is that simple.
Send / Receive Money:

Thanks for the reply. The problem has been solved. Amount has been reverted back after 5 days. It would be much more easier if they had reverted the amount on the same day. And for other users. It's a nice app. You can depend on it. If you had any problems like in my case, it'll be solved in 5 days. Again thanks for solving my problem!!!

The app is good an very helpful .But need an update with recharge option so that pepole can easily make their bills n recharges...from one app only. All in one app . And also for sending & requesting money allow the app to read contacts it will be easy to access the beneficiary mobile number . After downloading this app i avoided using e-wallets like paytm and bank mobile banking apps but still need to access those apps for mobile recharge Waiting for ur update with new... options.. thank you for ur Hrd.wrk I am unable to refer any one as said by modi to refer

This okay okay but there must be better options like to add multiple bank accounts, debit and credit cards etc and make payment via upi. For example it should have all the bank accounts /debit and credit cards linked and user must be able to just pay via upi id, and select a particular bank account or credit card. That would male the app better

Dear NPCI, I've used the application, it is quite helpful and awesome simple interface. You guys have designed an awesome application. But today I'm not able to register to it. I've checked to some other person's devices too. Seems like the problem is in the application itself. So, please find the problem and solve it to make the app run smoothly.

Althogh the app works for others one star for its not working for me. The only reason for this is when it tries to connect with my debit card i have to submit its expiry date. Unfortunately my debit card does not have it. It has date mentioned but that mentions valid from..... And this date does not work to approce my linkage... So no link and no payment or transfers possible. Now i dont want to change my debit card to one with expiry date if i have one valid for infinite time... So i wish if the app updates and become usable i might give it 5*

So many transactions failed so far. Money got deducted and not credited back to the account. You cannot send more than 10k per day. Search option using mobile number is waste and won't work. Useless app. Looks simple but not friendly

Any money that is transferred using your mobile number will be credited into your default account. First of all, i would be glad if you could just provide the users, ability to register with otp (In case the user doesn't have the sim in the phone, in which the app is running). For the second issue, even though my number is registered with my bank account and i get every transaction sms and everything, this app still denies that my mobile number is linked with any bank account. Get this sorted and I'll happily rate it 5 star.

Now where the money goes I don't know....No customer care support also, no proper number ,waste mail id they won't respond to mail account.. Bank members telling that this is a third party app,so they don't have any proper information on it.... Really vv disappointed... Very wrost app ever...

Incredibly helpful mobile application. I'm going to use BHIM for long. People are really getting cashless with NPCI's efforts. And BHIM is one such beautifully bundled UPI based payments app. Please go ahead and make it a brand, internationally, it has the potential to take on Amex, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, now "Paytm" and "Airtel" payments banking solutions as well. Team BHIM Edit: The issues I had have been resolved. Thank you for this app. Bug - App keeps looping to the screen to verify my phone number. It verifies successfully and then when I try to make a payment, or change bank account, it goes back to the screen where it asks me to verify again. Please fix this - I'll rate this 5 stars after that.

I have sent transfer 8000 rupees in my sister's account 1 day ago.. but she didn't get money yet.. but money is debeted from my account.. I issued a report but no one replied me.. so this app is good for nothing..
Deployed to end-user without testing the updates made... Nonsense... . It was working properly before Few days. But when I opened this today it was showing "error & asked to retry ". As I was unable to login...So I uninstalled this and tried registering again... Still it's not working... .

Team BHIM Such worst app I have ever seen. I do not know why SMS charges have been deducted from my mobile account each time while mobile number verification. 6 times SMS charges are deducted. AIRTEL comes first to deduct amount from main balance without confirmation.

Hi, BHIM app does not charge the user any amount for either SMS verification or for any transactions made on BHIM. However the telecom company may levy charges on the SMS sent for verification of your mobile number. Warm Regards, Team BHIM. Worst service I send money on 30.05.2017 to a SBI ac from a SBI ac.. My money reduced but receiver did not received any amount.. I called customer care and also complain to support , but still i have not got any reply.. 😠😠

Hello Sir/Madam My name is DHANESH VASHISTH On 4th june 2017 its around 8:20 am, i have transfered 3400rs to another account through BHIM app. My State Bank of India's account toBANK. I have used upi for transaction. But unfortunately transaction is not successful. And i haven't received any refund. As in my sbi Acnt it shows 3400rs debited. But not credited to beneficiary's acount. Please refund else solve the technical issues occured. I cant even find any column in the app through which i can report an issue.

But today I wanted to transfer money to my parents but could not do so in spite of repeated attempts and trying with two different accounts. Today I could not even check my account balance. I request for a new feature where I can give a code. That code can be redeemed by a person and the amount deducted from my ac after pressing yes means I have to confirm yes while he is talking payment. Or I can set a specific user who is allowed to take payment.It can replace of older version of payment ie demand draft. Hope you will do so.

Also application has lot of security features compared to other payment apps. Initial configuration is bit difficult for some users. I feel we can add some help videos or instruction to guide the customer on first launch of the application. I would like to have one more feature, multiple bank account linked to this app.

Hi, kindly confirm the payment address before making any transactions. Warm regards, Team BHIM. Very good initiative by Govt. of India. I really liked the App very much. But, the biggest problem is that, there are very few merchants who accepts payment through it. So, in order to increase its utility and outreach, kindly integrate (in the 'Scan & Pay' option) the facility to pay by scanning 'Bharat QR', 'mVisa QR', 'Masterpass QR', etc. Furthermore, currently, there are only three modes of sending money: (a) to 'UPI ID (i.e. VPA)'. (b) to 'Aadhar Number'. (c) to 'A/c No. + IFSC'. If possible, add fourth mode for sending money: (d) to 'Mobile Wallets' (through Mobile Number) like PayTM, Jio Money, Mobikwik, Airtel Money, Freecharge, Oxigen, etc. This mode of sending money will definitely increase the utility and outreach of the App rapidly, as there are large number of merchants who accepts payment through them.

Today one of my friend was sending me ₹10000. First transaction was in pending after that it was declined. Money deducted from acount when call the customer care they told to mail us. We have mailed the bheem app team two times but not got any response from the other side. Plse help us

Totally disappointed.......Mere friend ne bhim app se 2 din phle panjab national bank ke account se 5000₹ transfer kiye the uske account se ₹ debit ho gye bt abhi tk mere account me credit nhi huye.........!! Warm Regards, Team BHIM. Only one problem for bank payments it only check IFSC And Account Number. It doesn't check Account holders Name. Please add this feature for more safe and accurate transaction. As we use Internet banking, while we transfer funds bank make it sure that Name Account, number and IFSC codes are matching with bank records. If any of three fails to match transfer couldn't be possible. But in this app only IFSC code and Account number required to match. So please fix it for more safe and accurate Transactions.

Team BHIM App is really a game changer. When are associate banks of SBI like SBM are expected on this platform. Eagerly waiting for this. Now that the account is linked, i am trying to use it. I see challenges like irctc does not provide link for Bhim. I am surprised because if a government agency is not backing another, how can we get really where we want to go. I was able to load money to my paytm but now even that is blocked now. Market coverage is more important we want to go next milestone.
Nice initiative by Modi Government, a must app for all the users. Highly recommended. Bandhan Bank details are not updated in the list, as one of my friend doesn't find it here on BHIM, please help

Hi, BHIM app does not charge the user any amount for either SMS verification or for any transactions made on BHIM. However the telecom company may levy charges on the SMS sent for verification of your mobile number. Warm Regards, Team BHIM. I would like to suggest a special emphasis on vide rang of marketing and advertising of BHIM app. It is fully SARKARI and SWADESHI platform app. I will call it a great initiative by govt for digital India. After fixing bugs it works really well on any android phone. It is simple, secure and faster. I suggest some inclusiveness in app like other upi apps. I appeal to everyone to use this app for daily transactions & share among friend circles. अब होगा DIGITAL INDIA. " जयभिम ".

Team BHIM. Changing 4starz to 5starz.. Thanks a lot NPCI... Got one more suggestion for security point of view. Please if you can add the feature of speaking the UPI APP login pin in addition to typing it out. This can save the users from keyloggers and trackers. Of course the user must speak the PIN Only when alone. Also I'm eagerly waiting for the fingerprint authentication feature for fingerprint enabled handsets.

Warm Regards, Team BHIM I have made 4 transactions worth Rs 29000 to my account. I received transaction "success" message but the ammount has still not been credited. Complaint docket Nos M095415798, M095415801& M095415934. The call centre informed that it takes 7 days for resolving the issue.Locking so much money for such long time for resolving the issue needs to be looked into. Further transaction "success" message has no meaning if the money is not credited. Lost confidence in the app though I had earlier liked the app very much.
1. Does not support all banks like hsbc. 2. Should use android screen lock to enter the app so that user can also use fingerprint on the supported phones. 3. At a time can not use multiple bank accounts from same bank. Today I checked that HSBC supoort has come. Thats a good thing. But still now the app does not support baiometric lock. To send receive or check balance. I would really like to have that feature. And the look and feel of the app is not professional looking.

We are actively working to bring all banks on the BHIM app. UCO Bank, Yes Bank and BOI are now available on BHIM. We shall notify you once other banks are available on BHIM.

Team BHIM. BHIM is a great initiative and a good app, but there are a few drawbacks I have found. Most of the new age phones use fingerprint, making use of fingerprint as a passcode would be helpful, compared to Numerical codes. Most retail customers accept Paytm or Ultracash like wallets but BHIM is not widely accepted as of now. But for sending money across bank accounts this feature is truly a blessing.

Warm Regards, Team BHIM Why we can't send money to the same account not more than two times? Why you have imposed such restriction? Why there is a limit of ₹10000. Govt promoting a cashless economy then why so much restriction? And it can't be configured without ATM/Debit card. If we can configure our account without ATM/Debit card it will be helpful. But the app is working very well. If we can book ticket or pay bill through this app, the usability of this app will increase.
