Bible translators and others may upload their partial or completed work to the Freely-Given.org Bible Drop Box for Bible conversions. After the files are processed, they will receive a Bible Door link key code. Enter the "key" into the app and a "door" will open to (download and) display your Bible. If you like, you can also select a second key, and display another Bible as well.
This app does not contain any built-in Bible data -- you must be online when you enter the link key code and download the Bible text. (If you skip the initial download, you must be online to use the Bible text.)
Internally the Bible Door app uses a slight variation of the USFM Bible standard. It's especially designed for Bible translators to be able to easily get partial or draft translations into the language community for testing and feedback, but without the translator having to install any special software on their computer. See http://freely-given.org/Software/BibleDropBox/ for more information on uploading your work.
This is not intended to be a full-blown Bible study app for major languages. However, a second Bible may be displayed within the app to allow comparison with another language or another translation. Word search is also planned, but not yet available.
