Does it get the job done? (Unless there are train delays) Yes - but about as temperamental as a toddler tantrum in a supermarket. If trains are delayed at ALL, no results will show up. None. If you lose your internet connection, any search results pulled up prior disappears. If you hit the back button, search results disappear. If you lock your screen, search results disappear. This is atrocious since most of Grand Central provides spotty data coverage and many arrive via the subway w/o cell coverage. The Back button almost always completely exits the app. If you exit the program, your search results disappear. No other Android app has EVER had the Back button exit since 2012. If your train has departed, you cannot find it's info again to view its list of stops or list of times if your results have disappeared. I find myself having to ScreenShot every useful screen I get to for fear of it's sudden disappearance. It happens every single time I use the app. Every. Single. Time. Are there any benefits? Yes - It WILL show the time of an upcoming train and tell you the track number it's coming in on. Is it worth it? Barely.
Issues I'll change my rating once they fix the following: allow users to see the current schedule especially when the service change was from a previous day. Mnr is running on schedule today but I can't see jack
This is atrocious. Why can't I buy tickets? No buttons work... Nexus 5x
When it works When it works, it's great..when it doesn't it stinks. When there are service delays it won't show you what the normal schedule would have been and when you need to get to the station. When there is no signal, there is no offline backup schedule.
Very helpful I love this app! It's extremely helpful to be able to get my track number ahead of arriving at Grand Central - I can plans which entrances and stairwells to take before I get there! I also like being able to program in my typical trips/times so I can just get my schedule and track with the click of a button (or 2!). Great job!
Does the job!
