Rarely works And when it does work, the schedule is extremely slow to display. The schedule just sits there loading. I've had this problem on Wi-Fi and on mobile data and on two devices so it's definitely the app. There are others apps that do a better job, so there's no real reason to stick to this app. Uninstalled.
Does not update with metro north schedule Happy with the app most of the time.. that is when the schedule is correct. Have missed the train 3 or 4 times using this app! The times were all wrong! Even with the app updated on my phone. App does not update with MTA schedule! Now i have to check this app then check MTA to confirm. Really hope this can get fixed.
Another train outage, another app outage This app still, after all this time, looks like a poorly ported iPhone app rather than a well-written, thought out Android app that takes advantage of Android and Google features. It does not work at all if you are out of data or wifi signal access (like by the tracks in GCT!). Finally, any time there is a system wide outage the app completely crumbles giving no or incorrect information at a time when customers need it most. Typical app written by the lowest bidder to a government contract.
Horrible Won't tell you cost of a ticket..part of using this app is to find out how much train fare will be...app is slow & trips up easily requiring you to start over...
Offline schedules, please! The biggest downside to this app is that it always requires an internet connection. Having all schedules offline or the ability to cache favorite schedules would make this perfect. If the LIRR app has it, why can't Metro North? In addition, some basic improvements to the user experience are needed (i.e. touch feedback, easier search functionality, etc.)
Good not stellar Good for quickly seeing regularly scheduled info but I'm unconvinced it's accurate for special circumstances (aka delays). This may be a "garbage in" problem. Also, requires connectivity; offline functionality would be nice.
