Roatan, an often overlooked gem in the Western Caribbean, is the most popular tourist destination in Honduras. It is a port of call for several cruise ship lines and attracts SCUBA enthusiasts from around the world. Since 2007, Compass Maps has been publishing a popular tourist map of the island, now in its 14th printing. Its parent company, Bay Islands Voice, published an English-language news and features magazine on the island from 2003 to 2014 and an island business directory, the Voice Book, from 2009 to 2015. The Roatan Map app combines images and information from the Roatan Map with the business listings from the Voice Book and articles from the Voice magazine into a one-stop information resource for visitors to the island as well as residents. It contains more than 1,500 business listings categorized in easy-to-use menus. It also contains a wealth of useful and interesting information about the island, its people and their history, as well as travel survival tips.
