Introduction of BOScoin Tokennet Wallet
The BOScoin Tokennet Android Wallet has been launched to enhance the usability and the security of the existing Web Wallet.
Now, you can use the BOScoin Wallet with 'Recovery Key' and a 'Password'!
Wallet Creation: Multiple wallets can be created. You can name your Wallets when you create them, and you must set a password. Password or Recovery Key is required when 'sending' or 'importing a wallet, and the password can be changed but if you forget the password, it cannot be recovered.
Wallet Importing: There are two options for importing a wallet. You may choose between entering 'Secret Seed' and setting a new password, or entering a 'Recovery Key & existing Password.'
My Wallets: You can create list of several Wallets. You can see the balances at a glance and make transactions. You can also change the order of your Wallets.
Sending: You can enter the receiver's Public Address through a QR code, or retrieve it from your address book to send BOScoins. The BOS decimal point is up to 7 digits. You must enter the Password to send BOScoins.
Receiving: You may request BOScoins from others by sending a copy of the Public Address, or they can scan the QR code of your Wallet.
Transaction details: You may check the transaction details (sent and received). Public Addresses in your Contacts appear under the same name stored in your Contacts.
Contacts: You can add a Public Address or scan the QR code to save the contact.
Setting individual Wallet: You can check the Secret Seed and Recovery key of your Wallet, and also other functions including changing the Wallet name, changing the Password, and deleting the Wallet.
Q. How many wallets can I create?
A. You can create up to 100 Wallets, and your Contact list can have up 100 Contacts.
Q. Is there any special character that must be included when setting Password?
A. Yes, one of the following must be included: #?!@$%^&*-=
Q. Should each wallet have a different Password?
A. No, you can set the same Password for every Wallet.
Q. What is Recovery Key?
A. We only have a Secret Seed to secure and access the Web Wallet. However, we decided to add Recovery Keys and Passwords for the BOScoin Tokennet Wallet to add security and the ability to securely Recover Wallets. Recovery key is encrypted 'Secret Seed' via rock-repelling algorithm, which increases security in terms of 'Secret Seed' management.
Q. Isn't it confusing to have a Recovery key and a Password? The Web Wallet only requires entering the Secret Seed.
A. It's much safer and better security. Passwords must be remembered because they are used for 'sending'. Since the Recovery Key is an encrypted version of the 'Secret Seed,' you must have the password, which adds another layer of security.
Q. What if I lost my password but know my 'Secret Seed'?
A. In this case, the 'Secret Seed' will restore your wallet. Enter the 'Secret Seed' and enter 'New password' to obtain 'New recovery key'.
Q. Can I retrieve my Password if I lose them?
A. You CAN NOT retrieve your password if you lose or forget them. You may change your password though.
Q. If I reset my Password, does Recovery Key also changes?
A. Yes, if you change your Password, you must backup the new version of your Recovery key.
