Khipus is a DApp that allows you to register documents and images in the blockchain quickly and easily, helping you to create useful legal testimony of those files at that moment in time.
The word khipu comes from the Quechua word 'knot'. The khipus (or khipu) served as a tool in the Inca Empire for registration tasks and for sending messages to all corners of the empire. In the same way, with Khipus you can easily register your documents in the blockchain, exercising as a legal witness of the existence of such documents in your possession. Now you can turn your mobile into a true khipu capable of registering any document in the blockchain, to keep evidence of your documents for the future.
How Khipus works
-Download the application and register as new user
-Select the blockchain network in which you want to register your files / images
-Select the files that you want to register in the blockchain, or take a picture. Khipus will automatically create the file hash and register it in the blockchain you have selected.
That’s all! From Khipus you can browse the files that have been registered in the blockchain along with its hash, and open them directly from the app.
In the near future you will be able to request registration certificates and notarized records directly from the application.
Use cases
Khipus is a DApp with a set of basic functionalities that allows you to treat your files cryptographically and register them in a blockchain, facilitating in this way the demonstration of their existence in your property in a certain time. The uses you can give to the registration are many, including:
-Register and give proof of any document in your cloud service.
-Get evidence of the time when you had an idea, made a design, or wrote an article.
-Record a photo of your traffic accident, or of the broken merchandise delivered by the courier.
-Save a screenshot of a Whatsapp or social media message or conversation.
-Secure the content of an email you sent or received.
Features:
-Blockchain Technology: One of the main functions of the Blockchain technology is to serve as a registry, thanks to its own security and immutability characteristics that its decentralized nature grants. Khipus generates a cryptographic proof of any file on your mobile by calculating its hash function and registering it in the blockchain that you choose (among the available ones).
-Ease of use: Using Khipus to certify your documents is very simple and takes no more than a minute. After registration, you only have to select the documents to be registered from your mobile, or just take a picture from your device.
-Privacy: Khipus has maximum respect for your privacy. Neither Khipus nor the blockchain network will store the file or any information related to it. All the files are kept only on your mobile, under your total control. There will only be a hash that will serve as proof of existence, integrity and content of the document.
-Certified transactions (coming soon): You will be able to generate a document containing the certificate with all the information related to the transaction that was registered in the blockchain and the link to the document or file object of that registration. This certification serves as first evidence of the file, its content and the time of its registration.
-Notarized transactions (coming soon): You will be able to request a notarized certificate that documents the entire process and gives proof of the hash generation of the document and its registration in blockchain, as well as the content and moment in which it was registered.
