About this game

The tower goes up forever. Bird wishes to go up too.

Meet Birb. He carries five shots in his beak — two big O, three small o — and spits them at a tower of bricks that keeps him from the sky. Drag to aim, let go, and watch the bricks turn to dust.

Since this journey belongs to Birb and Birb alone, Birb has to run over and collect every shot before he can fire again — Birb is not a Roadrunner, and Birb's legs get tired, so Birb will stop where Birb finds the last shot on the ground.
THE SOUNDTRACK IS SOMETHING YOU PLAY

There is no track in this game. There is a tempo, a chord progression and a drum pattern, and every brick you hit puts a note on the grid. A quiet round is a beat and a bassline. A long chain is a cascade. The wall is a keyboard - the higher the brick, the higher the note - and the music gets busy because you did.

THE NUMBER PAINTED ON A BRICK

It is how many plain small o it takes to break. A big O counts double. And a chain multiplies everything on top of that.

A chain is every brick a single shot hurts before it touches the floor, and it counts squared, so one shot run through eight bricks lands far harder than two shots through four. Fire without chaining and you will do two damage in the grass and two damage at thirty thousand feet. Every scrap of power in this game has to be aimed for.

Climb high enough and you will meet:

- Armour that shrugs off small shots and folds to big ones
- Slabs: four bricks welded into one shape, each with its own number, coming apart a brick at a time as you chew through them
- Bricks whose corners round off the higher you get, opening trick shots the ground floor never offered
- Blue bumpers that fire your shot straight back down the line it arrived on, and faster than it came in
- Scatter bricks that send a shot out somewhere in the general vicinity of where it should have gone

Anything close enough to land on Birb's head next round turns red first. What you do about it is your problem.

One brick reaches Birb and the run is over. There is only one Birb, you cannot have another.
