Based on my earlier use of the App, i can say that time spent using this App is never wasted because it is highly informative and educative. I haven't got it to work on my phone at the moment because i use a Galaxy note 3 which seems to be unable to update beyond android 5.0. (You need android 7 and above to enjoy all the features of the app.). The Curio team are excellent with their customer service and you can contact them to fix any issue by using the chat function in the app. So based on my prior use and customer service experience, I will recommend this app but do check that your phone supports it.
I really like the concept of Curio and hope they will have even more great content and features (so far the app itself is not perfect but I was promised that some of the features that are lacking at the moment will be introduced soon - customer support is stellar). However, as someone said below, I also have Android 5, which doesn't seem to allow the app to work properly. So, unfortunately, I'll have to wait till I have a newer phone to enjoy the app in full.
I'm using a Oneplus 3. I live in Thailand. I keep getting a "confirm subscription" screen after I have subscribed. I have exited the app and still the issue persisted. I'm interested in your application from reading The New Inquiry, which I also have similar problem with subscribing and paying for the publication. My question is this: is my problem a regional problem or is it the fault of the app? Edit: The developer fixed these issues with updates! The interface is clean and intuitive. Will definitely subscribe after the trial.
I am a regular. Amazing content, brilliant narration, but please have a lower pricing for India and millions to subscribe at least introductory for three years. The price is simple too steep for us who earn in rupees and are are asked to spend in Dollars and Pounds.
My absolute favourite app, outstanding content read by suberb narrators. After listening to podcasts for years, the audio quality here is just beyond expectations. Top food for the brain.
Track lists now display author's name. Narrator can be seen in the Now Playing screen.
