Has a lot of potential but still needs a fair amount of work. This app could be a bit too complicated for the average user so user base will be small until it is simplified a bit. Looking forward to giving this app a try again in a year or two.

This is a future ap where you privacy is open and public. Meaning that you chose to share with tools that are open and not tools that are misleading via obscurity. Still in beta but I would recommend being an active participant.

Does not work on Android O. Once it will, I make sure to update this rating, but it also depends on the turnaround and the first time experience as well

There seems to be some major lag while sending msgs. My recipient got the msg a whole day late.

I absolutely love this application. I definitely can see where this app is going in the future. Keep up the good work keybase team

Great app that extends the functionality of the website and keybase app. FYI this app doesn't work with the second Android O Beta.

Now this is the way to communicate privately. Well done. Can't wait for the other features to come and thank you for the quick fix turnaround on the feedback.
I'm a huge fan of Keybase and I'm excited that the mobile application is finally here.
The Keybase functionality is mostly there (can't wait for mobile files!), but the UI is clunky. There is some unexpected behavior when hitting the back button sometimes, and the app feels just a little slow in general. With that being said, it's been perfectly usable thus far and I'm glad Keybase is finally on mobile devices.
Needs kbfs (which is coming) and another way to help new users who don't already use keybase on a desktop as the initial paper key process for new users seems to be causing some headache. Also would like to see a way to encrypt and decrypt text via the keybase app.
Added a mobile device, showed a paper key, and i switched the app to write it in a different app, and when i switched back to this app to see the paper key screen again, it directly showed me the main screen. I hadn't ticked the "Yes, i wrote it down" button. And also, How can I retrieve or regenerate the paper key ?
It's keybase, literally just ported to the phone. There's no complaints other than files not being implemented yet but this isn't exactly a flaw either. Looking forward to see what the app brings.
App looks and feels very similar to the desktop version. Although gpg command line sign in was not available, QR code scanning from the desktop app worked great. Also can't wait for mobile files.
Only flaws I've found so far are just user interface , works almost as good good on mobile as it does on PC. Won't be using any other messaging client from here on, keep up the great work!
Today more than ever, we know that no network is perfect or secure. And the rising cybersecurity threats increase the risk of privacy & data breach exponentially. No one is safe, even internet giants with significantly larger security budgets (case in point: yahoo). Keybase is a good idea, but the implementation should be adjusted to allow a c2s model, i.e. on-device management instead of signing up & consolidating account information on their servers.
After using Keybase for a few months, I've been patiently waiting for for the Android app to be released, and now it's here! Keybase is the best way to encrypt and keep track of your keys and your friends keys. Makes public encryption super easy!
Good app but its slow and doesn't have kbfs yet. I will add more stars when/if it gets kbfs.
It's here! Looks great and set up was easy enough. I was a bit concerned about having to rekey my files as I didn't get any confirmation that it had gone well. Looking forward to mobile files!
Great first start. Have been waiting for mobile apps for this for a long time. And now it's finally a useful platform
Good first release. It needs some streamlining but all the basic functionality appears to work
Fantastic, a mobile version of KeyBase. This is my favorite secure communications platform right now.
So the app is currently unusable. Says keybase is currently unreachable. Might want to try again later.
The "paper key" implementation is infantile. As I'm sure ever more people will point out, if the app is not foreground for any reason the paper key is gone. Ridiculous. Uninstalling permanently.
This is awesome, I've been wanting this on mobile for so long. I can't wait to see how it eventually compares to the Signal app.
Works great. Definitely will be using Keybase more now that there is a mobile app.
Couldn't get my paper key, my phone screen deactivated while I was copying it down and the key disappeared on waking up
Works as expected, just like the PC version. No frills but does what it is supposed to.
Keybase is one of my favorite software products. The mobile app is still a work in progress but seems very interesting for both personal and commerical purposes. Very excited for full mobile functionality.
switch applications while it is showing your paper key and you lose it, and need to start all over again.
