About this app

This is a quick utility to test/check your proximity sensor.

Test if your proximity sensor is broken, or if you have a proximity sensor. For example, you could use it to test if your screen protector is blocking your proximity sensor.

There are 2 types of tests:
Basic test: Test the basic functionality of the proximity sensor. Is it working or not?
Distance test: Get the exact distance value your proximity sensor senses. Please note that only a small amount of smartphones are able to do this! Most phones will only display a fixed distance value.

There is also a sensor info page that will display all information available about your proximity sensor.

Summarized, this is the most advanced proximity sensor test app. It has a small size, is quick to use and has a modern design without annoying ads.

Simple test app, so not too much to it but what it does do, it does excellently. It doesn't have ads popping up everywhere, though there is a menu to watch ads to support the developer but it is completely optional to do. App is filled with so much personality too, surprising how enjoyable just testing the proximity sensor can be so fun. Done on a Fairphone 4

works. my phone is weird (Mi 10T) it doesnt have proximity sensor, doesnt work when you cover the phone with hand but works when you make gesture like putting your phone up to ear, and slowly moving it away deactivates it after certain distance wow. magic edit: it works with light sensor, tried by putting the phone under strong light and then making shadow above the phone and it said its at 0 cm distance (normally its 5 cm always)

I have a OnePlus 7 and this app does not works on my device, I tested the proximity sensor in engineering mode and the phone passed the test with multiple rounds of tests. But this app does not work.
