About this app
Nettune is the high school student radio network and was founded in 2015 by combining the three student radios in Ticino: Radio LiMe, Radio Jungle Ciani, Radio WOW and Radio Polistirolo.
After 6 years of positive experiences gained with the Mendrisio high school, Radio Gwendalyn together with the students and the Illiterate association, extends the experience of Radio LiMe to the Ticino high schools, creating a "network" and creating new student radio stations. For the Ticino student community this is a great opportunity, which allows us young people to tackle - through the radio medium - the issues that touch us closely, comparing ourselves, sharing experiences, giving voice to emerging artists and groups, promoting our activities youth and much more.
An ambitious goal that would represent a first at the cantonal and Swiss level!
We believe that this experience is an important alternative tool to form a sense of responsibility towards our generation but also towards adults and institutions. We carry out this project with Radio Gwendalyn which wanted - drawing from its own philosophical vision - to develop student radio within a need aimed at promoting cultural and social activities.
In September 2020 Nettune will have among its staff the students of four of our high schools (Mendrisio, Lugano 1, Lugano 2 and Liceo di Locarno), with about 10 students each active in the radio group, who will feed a shared web schedule full of podcasts , interviews, mixtapes.
