The Mimi Hearing Test is a quick, reliable way to explore your hearing ability. Mimi’s hearing test on iOS has been ranked as the #1 hearing test for several years. Now we are bringing a reliable hearing test to Android. Because of the complications that the wide variety of devices and headphones bring, we have developed a new paradigm that works optimally for Android devices. A paradigm that does not require calibration. With it we test how you hear in actual daily life, because let’s face it, how often are you trying to hear a pure tone at the quietest level possible?
This test focuses on how you hear in noisy situations; like how you hear in a noisy restaurant or how well you’re able to pick out an instrument in a complex musical piece.
The paradigm is the first of its kind to reach the PlayStore. It is still in development, continuing to undergo research improvements in how we test and provide insights to you, the user. The more tests people take, the better our test will become. So a big thanks to our dedicated Mimi users who support us in this endeavor!

Advanced testing technology - The test itself is a mask threshold (MT) test. This technology tests your ability to differentiate a signal in background noise, simulating a similar environment which your ears must navigate in a crowded area.
Headphone independent - The nature of the hearing test allows you to test your ears with any headphones, no need for calibration.
Tangible insights - We have turned your hearing data into insights, to help you reflect on your hearing health.
Ability to test several frequencies - The first frequency which you will test is 4 kHz, as this has proven to be indicative of your overall hearing ability. You can then continue to test high-, mid-, and low-frequencies between 500 Hz and 4 kHz.
