About this app

There was a recent study by Arthur Aron and some other people that explores whether intimacy between two strangers can be accelerated by having them ask each other a specific series of personal questions. The idea is that mutual vulnerability fosters closeness. You can read the study here http://goo.gl/QxfV33

These 36 questions are broken up into three sets, with each set intended to be more probing than the previous one. The idea is that mutual vulnerability fosters closeness. As the study authors says: β€œOne key pattern associated with the development of a close relationship among peers is sustained, escalating, reciprocal, personal self-disclosure.” Allowing oneself to be vulnerable with another person can be exceedingly difficult, so this exercise forces the issue.

Stage 1 and 2 are great for people getting to know each other and people who already do. Stage 3 is very personal so maybe not great unless you feel like baring all - which I guess is the point - and not very helpful if you've been together a long time (like us) and have already talked about those things. Overall good questions that sparked a wonderful round of conversations.

Awesome way of integrating the famous 36 psychological questions that gets people closer. Nothing fancy, only a straight forward app that gets things done. Best thing, it doesn't have any annoying ads. Thanks you.
