Basic and barely updated I bought this as I wanted a good RSS reader after Press was abandoned and the devs have a good track record with their excellent Twitter app. Sadly the progress has really been lacking and it still misses the most basic of functions. There's not even a, widget. Disappointing and hard to recommend.
Good RSS reader, needs more integrations Lovely RSS reader that has a clean and modern feel. Would like to see a faster way to save to preferred read-it-later service á la Press. Still having difficulty adding a Feedly account.
Needs just one more feature! After trying a plethora of Feedly readers, Newsfold is my favorite. Cleaner than all the others and does almost everything I need. My only gripe would be the inability to default to Readability, or an easier shortcut to do so. Two clicks is just one too many
I really like where this RSS reader is going. It's the spiritual successor to Press, which has sadly been abandoned. It has a beautiful, clear design - the author clearly cares about look and feel. In terms of functionality it does what you'd expect of a straight RSS reader. It doesn't try to be fancy and offer annoying newspaper or magazine layouts like Feedly (which rarely work well) instead focussing on a simple, straightforward, but beautifully executed, experience. UPDATE: sadly, although it started strong, it's not been updated in ages and is still missing vital features such as subscription management. So I've had to mark it down a star. A real shame. I hope the author picks it up again soon.
Didn't work at all Drained a lot of power, like 1% per minute and didn't load anything even after marking show read. Tried to add a new source and didn't add it. Lowest score because even basic functions don't work
Really great A very well made app. I only have two requests: option to always show navigation buttons when reading an article, and better support for videos in articles (right now they are small and can't be made full screen). Keep up the good work!
- When scrolling through a list of articles, it's now possible to quickly mark newer/older entries as read with a long press
- Switched Readability service to https://mercury.postlight.com
- Fixed an issue preventing articles to be correctly displayed for particular subscriptions
