Great App Got this for Christmas. Using with Samsung S3 & S5. Works great. Using it with a Berretta 92 and a Ruger LC9. Initially had an issue with the LC9 (It is in their FAQ but my wife did not know that). When I contacted the dev about it, they sent a new endcap that took care of it. Looking forward to the timed draw app. Would also like to see a multi zone target.
Nothing but great things to say about this app. It works great for practice, I have a G-Sight Laser Cartridge it works great with it. However since I have to put my Samsung Mega phone into a holder, it is very hard to calibrate. I know you are trying to sell your sled, but this works good with just a simple cell phone holder. I would ask that you make it available to work on older versions of Android Operating systems, just because I believe many of us have old phones everywhere laying around and would be a great way to create a virtual range. I love this version. One improvement for the future, utilizing an external GoPro style camera so multiple cameras can be set up to a central wifi tablet or chromebook.
Wow this thing is great. Works perfect on S7 Edge. Tonight is the fist time I was able to use it the way it was designed though a pistol. I have been messing around with a laser pointer but now I have a laserlyte cartridge. In my auto shots were landing on target, but with my revolver they were hitting low about 3" I tried the range calibration option in the software and then it was landing at point of aim. Switched back to the auto and clicked the "reset" to get everything back to default again. Within the limited amount of use I have already I have noticed I am pulling shots with the auto and I am already finding ways to correct it. Dry fire practice without a way to double check yourself will cost you in the end. With or without his phone tray you will enjoy his software.
I like this app a lot for practice; however, I believe the app is using old Android camera APIs. With my Nexus 5X, the camera view is flipped upside down. This was a problem with a lot of apps last year until the new APIs came out. If the app gets updated to account for this, it's 5 stars.
Great application for training and technique. Only bad thing is my Samsung won't adjust the camera to have a clear picture of the target area. Very blurry. Hopefully they get can get that fixed in an update. Also after shooting a couple hundred times the laser bullet is staying on, as in the rubber pin seems to be sticking. Superb concept of a product. Needs a little work though.
Needs quick fix The app works well, but for the Nexus 5x the image sensors are positioned differently causing the camera to appear upside-down. This should be a simple fix for the developer by updating the API. This may effect a few other phones as well.
This version adds the Ballistic Offset feature. If your sights have been zeroed at the range, this enables you to zero the app to your sights. Things like wind and bullet drop can be accounted for. Go to settings and choose ballistic offset. Center the overlay and aim at the center and shoot the laser. Ignore where the laser actually hits. An average of the last 5 shots will be taken. When you go back to the bullseye training mode, the holes will offset from where the laser hits.
