There are many different kinds of roses around the world, including those named after famous actresses such as Queen Elizabeth, Ingrid Bergman, and Catherine Deneuve, and those with Japanese names such as Asakumo, Cheers, and Koishin.
Why not make your own illustrated book of roses?
Kyu Furukawa Rose Collection is an app (Rose Collection) that collects photos of 103 varieties of the Kyu Furukawa Garden rose garden in Kita Ward, Tokyo.
This is a white picture book with no photos included. Please visit the rose garden and take photos to complete your colorful picture book.
In the rose garden, each rose plant has a variety name tag. Touch the empty frame with that name in the app, then touch the camera icon to take a photo.
The photo will automatically be placed in an empty frame. You can also take and save multiple photos of the same type.
If you take photos of all the varieties, you will create an extremely detailed illustrated book of roses that is unique in the world.
This app was developed as a joint demonstration experiment between Chiba Institute of Technology and the Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association.
The app is free. No charges will be incurred.
