About this app

The "Identity Verification for IIJmio" app is used for identity verification when signing up for IIJmio.

It supports the public personal authentication service method (JPKI method) using My Number cards, which will be launched in mid-January 2026, and identity verification using IC chip reading and facial image scanning.

To use this app, you must complete the identity verification process on the IIJmio website, then launch the app from the website.

*This app cannot be used on its own.

■Key Features of the "Identity Verification for IIJmio" App

1. Select Your Identity Verification Document and Read Your IC Chip
Enter your PIN and authentication information from your identity verification document, then scan the IC chip information with your smartphone.

2. Photograph Your Face
Your face will then be photographed, completing identity verification.
*Facial photographs are not required for the public personal authentication service method (JPKI method) using My Number cards.
