"We want a nice system built"—this single request will lead each company to submit a quote based on different assumptions. You'll end up with quotes that differ by three times, making comparison impossible.

The Order Specification Lab is a practice app designed to transform vague requests into "comparable requirements specifications" and "quote requests." Even those with little experience in system ordering can learn and create practical documents for real-world use.


■ This program proceeds in 4 steps.

1. Learning: Read 7 textbooks covering everything from the basics of ordering to pre-contract confirmation.
2. Confirmation Test: Check your understanding with 8 questions.
3. Creation Exercise: Structure the background, purpose, scope, exclusions, and acceptance conditions.
4. Practical PDF Creation: Output an A4 requirements specification and a request for quotation as PDFs.
