Biome has various functions related to creatures, such as ``AI that determines the name'' of the creatures you encounter, ``picture books'', ``maps'', ``SNS'', ``quests'', etc.
You can also create your own "creature collection" by posting photos.
Why not share the excitement of the moment you encounter a creature by posting a post with other creatures lovers?
If you look at the world through living things, your everyday life will become as enjoyable as being outdoors!

📌 Record the creatures you encounter!
Take photos of the creatures you find and record them with Biome! Biome corresponds to approximately 100,000 species of almost all the flora and fauna found in Japan (lichens and mushrooms are not included).
"Name recognition AI" will help you learn the names of living creatures such as flowers, insects, and birds that you find.
Post photos of the creatures you find to the app and get biome points! Each point increases your level and you can earn various badges.
Each badge has four ranks: "Bronze", "Silver", "Gold", and "Black". The road to obtaining the Black Badge is long and difficult, but please give it a try.
If you are not confident about the species name, ask another user to explain it to you. A knowledgeable user will suggest a species name.

Creature Quest is a game feature that can be achieved by searching for and posting specified creatures. Various quests will appear depending on the season, such as ``Post a swallow'' and ``Post 5 types of insects.''
📌 Creature Collection
Collection is a function that compiles your favorite photos from among the photos you have posted.
You can use it in a variety of situations, such as collecting creatures you encounter on your travels or collecting your favorite moments.
You can also upload your collection and share it with other users. Save various people's collections to your favorites and enjoy discovering other people's collections together.
*Private posts within the collection will not be displayed.
📌 Creature map
Check the map to learn about animals and plants near your current location. You can also filter by season, so you can search for creatures that match the current season. You can look for animals and plants you have never seen before, making your regular walks even more enjoyable.
Explore other cities on the map to see what animals and plants other users across the country have discovered. You can enjoy seeing when and where people have discovered creatures.
When you post a photo, the species name and location of the creature will be added to the map. Let's find out what kind of creatures are in your town right away.

Have you ever wanted to know more about a particular creature? The illustrated encyclopedia created by everyone is a living encyclopedia that includes approximately 100,000 species of animals and plants in Japan.
You can search for living things by scientific name or common name. You can narrow down your search even further by using tags.
For example, photos of a certain plant depending on its status, such as ``flowering'' or ``bearing fruit,'' as well as distribution status, are added based on public posts. Let's all work together to create the largest illustrated encyclopedia of living creatures.

About photographing bird nests and chicks
For some birds, if humans approach while raising their young, the parents may leave the nest and abandon it. Even if they do not abandon the nest and return to the nest, it is not uncommon for the eggs and chicks to cool down and die after being away for a while. Therefore, actions such as approaching the nest, staying near the nest for a long time, peering in from above, or using a camera flash can cause stress to the parent birds, which may result in them abandoning their young.
Also, please be extremely careful and considerate when observing birds that breed closer to people than usual (e.g. swallows), such as not getting too close to their nests and keeping observations for short periods of time.
