After latest update: Keeps getting disconnected from Online Matches. Great game but why does the game not have a "pause" function? Even in missions I cannot pause lol hopefully devs will add a pause button soon. Also, mission cool down is way too long. Either lower that or have more missions available at once. 3 is waaay too few.
I was sad after buying this game on the PS3 store, because no one was playing online after a few months. I love this game and it's great to see it getting a new life on phones. I'm liking the added features as well, even if it follows the mobile formula. That being said if you're playing like a normal phone game, you can fat finger sometimes. But it controls pretty solidly. I'd say if you liked Puzzle Fighter pick this up.
The game is fun. There is still a lot of room for improvements. For one, there should be a time limit on how long I should wait for my opponent to start. Sometimes I'll wait 5-10 minutes and nothing happens. Give people an option up exit the game if the opponent doesn't start within x times. Another thing that seems to be missing is when I clear gems, it doesn't go to your opponent. That was the key to the original because that could be a game changer regardless how good the player is. I am going to play this game for another week and will update my review
Graphics of the characters are great but sadly it's near impossible to unlock other characters unless you feed in a LOAD of money. It's almost like they are best friends with EA. Red gems are the main in game currency to unlock time based caps you will be lucky to get more than 3 in their version of a loot box. Could do with more actual characters too. It the game is relatively new so I'm hoping the changes will come eventually.
The game resembles the old iteration, but lacks any kind of causal play mode. The challenges are fun, but over very quickly, requiring you to use gems or wait for a refresh. The online play is fun, when it works, but loses connection far too often even with a strong wi-fi connection. If they add a casual play that didn't advance your characters, but allows you to play and practice for fun, I'll keep it. If it continues to lose connection and beg for me to spend money constantly, I'll drop it. Come on Capcom, rise above the rest and give us a more complete game.
Plays similar to the original. However suffers from VERY strong pay-to-win tendencies (it is Capcom to be honest). Gameplay itself is solid and fun, and the mechanics behind how moves are excuted is done well. Unlocking characters and moves through grinding just takes too long, almost forcing people to begin purchasing. Could do with a lot more offline game modes too. 4/10.
