My absolute favorite app. I made the mistake of not reinstalling it on my new phone and I tried other games. I crawled back after realizing there's very few apps as chill and non intrusive as this one. Neko Atsume won't bombard you with ads or micro transactions. You have to seek out ads and even then it asks permission to show them. You can pay for the in-app currency but there's not really a point in doing so as far as "winning". I paid once as a way to thank the developer.

i dont typically write reviews, but i LOVE this game. been playing it since i was younger and it's by far the best mobile game i've ever downloaded. it's well-made, free-to-play, well-balanced, entertaining, accessible, and VERY addicting. most mechanics seem simple but they end up being very complex in actuality, such as the rare cats and mementos. it has the cutest little art style and character designs, i really can't help but log back in every day. PICKLES AND SOCKS FOREVER!!!

I really liked this game, it was passive and felt fun to pop in and see what's happening but also have things happen in the background. my only and biggest complaint is my progress being deleted twice now. I finished the game fully once but after coming back to it on a new phone, I lost everything. on the same phone much time later, I got on and my progress was gone again with no save file found. I also wish I could have transferred things from this app to the sequel app.
