The ST-4002A uses an Android device as an external GPS for the transceiver.
You connect the Android device to the [DATA] jack of the transceiver and output the GPS data to the transceiver, and then you can use it as an external GPS for the transceiver.

This app can be used with a transceiver that supports external GPS input through the [DATA] jack.
- Icom IC-7100
- Icom IC-9100
- Icom IC-9700
- Icom ID-4100
- Icom ID-5100, and so on
*An OPC-2350LU data communication cable is also required.
NOTE
- Icom does not guarantee that the ST-4002A works on all Android devices. It may not work properly, depending on the OS version, installed applications, or other reasons.
- You cannot use this app on Android devices that cannot obtain location information. In addition, if the device is without GPS, it may not output the correct position.
- You may not use this app in the Power Save mode (the name varies depending on the manufacturer of the Android device) or when the screen is OFF
- The ST-4002A may not be usable, even if your Android device supports the USB OTG host function.
- Remove the data communication cable when you don't use it to reduce the Android device's power consumption
