ekipla, a social networking site dedicated to rail travel: Osaka Loop Line Edition

-Rather than "warping" to your destination, take your train journey to a "move" that lets you enjoy the journey itself.

"ekipla" is a unique*2 "rail travel" social networking site designed to help you enjoy the experience of getting off your train*1. Based on your interests and themes, you can discover stops along the way, such as "I want to get off at this station" or "Let's try this place." Also, if there's a place you want to visit, the route map and corresponding spots are displayed, making it easy to see the nearest station at a glance and enjoy an intuitive stop.

Rather than "warping" to your destination in one go, get off at stations along the way, and "move" as you discover new towns and experiences. "ekipla" is an app that proposes a new style of rail travel that lets you enjoy the journey itself.

This time, the Osaka Loop Line is the setting for this app. By reconnecting stations with the spots and experiences scattered around them, the app aims to create opportunities for people to stop off at stations that have traditionally been viewed as mere "passing points."

Key Features of "Ekipla"

① Find stations you'll want to stop off at by using tags that interest you.
Starting with tags that interest you, such as "sauna," "music," "housing complex," or "river," you'll discover unexpected stations and spots, and enjoy a series of discoveries that will naturally make you want to stop off at them. You'll find yourself thinking, "If there's a place like that at that station, I might as well stop off."

② The route map and spots of interest are linked, so you can easily find the station you want to get off at.
If there's a place you want to visit, the route map and surrounding spots are linked on the map, so you can see the nearest station at a glance. Enjoy getting off at a station you've never been to before with peace of mind.

③ The more you get off, the more fun you have.
Ekipla also offers features to make your experience of getting off at a station even more enjoyable.
By sharing recommended spots and reacting to information posted by others, you earn points*3 within the app based on your activities, and your repeated use adds a little joy to the experience.
You can also keep mementos of the stations you've visited, and save which stations you got off at and what stops you made as part of your travel history.
