Japan Transit Planner-Norikae Annai is a multilingual version of the navigation application "Norikae Annai", the most downloaded in Japan.
It will show you the route or how to transfer by railways or airplanes in Japan.
It can check the route, the fare, and the required time easily as long as you input the departure station and the destination station.
Besides, you can caculate the accurate required time and the ride time since it contains the timetable of all the stations all over Japan (except for some sections).

There's a lot of time when I was in rush chasing train, the ads suddenly pop up and need to wait until I can press 'x' and finally the ads disappeared. Disappointed because I have been using this apps for 12,13ish years and now they're forcing ads on this apps. Perhaps if you live in a world that you have a lot of time, don't have to go to work everyday, and never needed to quickly search for a train, this apps may perfect for you, but sadly a lot of people do not live like this.

Optional premium tickets shouldn't be accounted for. When a 7-car train has only one car with premium seats (that nobody ever buys anyway) at a premium price, that cost is automatically added to the trip price, making it look like other trains are cheaper. But when that train is faster and costs as much as other trains (without the premium, which nobody buys anyway) having to look for it and reading the details to find out it costs the same but it's faster and it leaves earlier is annoying

Still crippled compared to Hyperdia. Hyperdia was the go-to Japan Rail scheduler for more than a decade. Since they lost their license, other mediocre apps have tried to fill the gap and failed. Jorudan is one of those. Limited selection of travel methods & platforms, limited directions and scheduling are all deliberate to encourage a paid subscription. If you want to discourage tourism for your whole country, this is the perfect way to do it!
