As a person who understands Japanese, I don't have much problem with the language. But the interface is cluttered, and it's hard to know where on the screen I'm supposed to look, because the important text is sometimes smaller than the surrounding text. It could also use a little bit optimization. That being said, once I setup my account, ordering something is just a few taps, making it quite convenient.

Nice selection of products but the interface is very confusing sometimes. For example, product exchange policies are sometimes not written on the product page but rather in some makeshift manual that the seller puts in a random place on their store's page. They also leave it up to the seller to make up a lot of policies which is just weird. Also, the front page is very cluttered. Rakuten needs to take example from Amazon and make things for user friendly and straightforward.

UX Is absolutely terrible, walls of useless text and images everywhere. Everything is in Japanese with no option for automatic translation. Somehow this app manages to be worse than the seizure-inducing Rakuten website: with the website you can at least have the browser translate text automatically, but in the app this is not possible. I would give 0 stars if it was allowed.
