so very terrible. phone rarely rings. my wife and i have to call each other back and forth 4 or 5 times to get through. call quality sucks. frequent hangups while talking. seems to interfere with other apps (like LINE.) and you CAN NOT set custom ring tones. there is no support available in their stores. just a hot mess. it's free and so was the phone, but i wish i was still paying 1500yen a month for YMobile (which was super good.)

it gives me an error whenever i try to disable specific types of notifications. i cant disable all notifications because im worried i wont see my calls. the error says something went wrong. please try again every time. uodate: the faq did not help. the troubleshooting guide doesn't list my issue and doesn't have an other option. i used the ai support that gave a link which just led to a customer support page that also didn't give me a way to talk to a human. My time is wasted. my issue remains.

1. I am forced to install this to manage the mobile subscription because the Mobile app is getting discontinued. 2. This is the typical Rakuten app riddled with ads everywhere and slow. 3. It also asks for a lot of permissions for all kinds of unnecessary services since I only want to manage my mobile subscription. Terrible experience overall. I would prefer a simple website I can check occasionally. I guess that's the sad price to pay to get the cheapest mobile subscription in Japan.
