●To use this app, pair the BOSS KATANA Gen 3 (Version 1.06) and your Android device via Bluetooth®.
*Set up the Bluetooth connection in the Connection window displayed after the app is launched.
*Connection requires BOSS KATANA Gen 3 (Version 1.06 or later) and BOSS Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL).

●BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA Gen 3 includes a Tone Edit function for editing amps and effects and a Tone Librarian function for organizing sounds.

●This app provides an integrated access to the BOSS TONE EXCHANGE. Support share your original Livesets and download users Livesets around the world.
*An active internet connection is required to access the Boss Tone Exchange.

Please note that they don't know how to develop an Android app with BT connection to their amp. Disconnects after a minute. Pairing it is not reliable either. The app won't work unless you upgrade the amp firmware, so it doesn't work out of the box. When it works, it takes 25 seconds at least to connect. By far the worst app/hardware experience. Congrats. Most people end up using a laptop or they just use the panel. Regret buying the amp and will avoid this brand. This is an iOS/Mac/Win amp only

appalling , how can hardware be failed so badly by software? I have the app for my gen 3 katana and my wazza air ... .I can connect my phone instantly to both ......try connecting them to the app that you absolutely need ....... impossible!! I can't connect to either app because it keeps saying midi file not supported, I'm not trying to connect midi I'm trying to connect my bloody hardware to the apps that they require for full functionality!!!!!!!!

paid so much for an adapter so i dont have to run to the with my laptop all the time, but its not much of a difference. it keeps disconnecting randomly, sometimes doesnt see my amp when everythings on, and you have to manually turn on the adapter and connect it in the app each time you open it (and when it randomly disconnects)
