BOSS TONE STUDIO dedicated for GT-1000

●Connect the BOSS GT-1000 and your Android mobile devices via Bluetooth to use this app.
* BOSS GT-1000 is necessary to use this app.
* Set up the Bluetooth connection in the Connection window displayed after the app is launched.
* When using on Android 6.0 or later, please turn Android Location mode on.

●BOSS TONE STUDIO incorporates convenient functions; ‘Download Function of Additional Tones (Livesets)’, ‘Tone Edit Function’, and ‘Tone Librarian Function’.

●This app provides an integrated access to the BOSS TONE CENTRAL website offering additional free contents for BOSS products.
*An active internet connection is required to download the additional tones (Livesets).

If you have backup datas (LIVESET, STOMPBOX, ALL DATA ) saved by the "BTS for GT-1000" app with GT-1000 ver.1.11 or earlier, please backup your datas to cloud drive before updating GT-1000.

Ratings and reviews

Works on the GT-1000 Core with a Bluetooth adapter like the WIDI Jack set to Type A. Minus 1 star because the UI is STILL that horrible Boss UI where everything is a flat, dial, irrespective of whether or not the value being set is just a plain on/off toggle, or has 5 discrete values or a value range of 150. The UI should have graphics that look like actual knobs and switches and behave in a more intuitive way. Have Boss ever looked at any of the millions of plugin interfaces out there?

The app represents the desktop version well and allows you to edit and modify with relative ease. I say relative because it only operates in portrait mode which means there's a lot of scrolling. I spent a few hours trying to connect via Bluetooth. The GT was visible through my phone but not the app. After scouring the internet for answers, I read in the app description itself that the phone's location needs to be enabled. The app should detect if its enabled or not and then enable.

Update: it still doesn't work, but increasing score as thanks for recent firmware update including the glorious sd1 as well as new amp models. Sd1 was a better priority, good call! Doesn't work on Samsung S23 Ultra, phone see's the bluetooth, app doesn't, location is set to on. Considering it's a nearly £1000 pedal you would hope they would support the app...
