The Shinkin Account Opening App (official name: Shinkin Bank Account Opening App) is an app that allows you to apply to open an account at a Shinkin Bank by scanning your My Number card with your smartphone or taking a photo of your driver's license or other card with your smartphone and sending it along with the necessary information. (This app is free to use, but communication charges incurred during use are the responsibility of the customer.)

■Application process
1. Download the app.
2. Start the app and select the Shinkin Bank.
3. Select the identity verification method from scanning your My Number card or taking a photo of your driver's license. (The identity verification methods available vary depending on the Shinkin Bank you are applying to.)
4. Verify your identity.

- Enter the electronic signature certificate on your My Number card and scan it with your smartphone.

- Phone number authentication is performed using SMS (Short Message Service).・Take a photo of your "driver's license and seal" or "driver's license" (this varies depending on the Shinkin bank you are applying to).
5. Enter the customer information required for account opening.
6. Apply for internet banking. (Whether or not you apply for internet banking varies depending on the Shinkin bank you are applying to.)
7. Your application is complete.

※There are some models that cannot use this app or have difficulty using it.

■Notes on use
The following functions are included in the app to prevent fraudulent account opening applications.
・Phone number authentication using SMS (Short Message Service) as part of identity verification
・The number of applications that can be made to the same Shinkin bank from one mobile phone number is limited to one.
・If multiple SMS are sent in a short period of time, SMS transmission will be limited.
