About this app

The Shinkin Account Opening App (officially known as the Credit Union Account Opening App) allows you to apply for an account at a credit union by scanning your My Number Card with your smartphone or taking a photo of your driver's license or other identification with your smartphone and submitting it along with the necessary information. (This app is free to use, but communication charges incurred during use are the responsibility of the customer.)

■ Application Process
1. Download the app.
2. Launch the app and select your credit union.
3. Select your identity verification method from My Number Card scanning or driver's license photography. (Available identity verification methods vary depending on the credit union you are applying to.)
4. Complete identity verification.

・Enter the digital signature certificate from your My Number Card and scan it with your smartphone.
* Phone number verification will be performed using SMS (Short Message Service).
* Take a photograph of your "driver's license and seal impression," or your "driver's license" (this may vary depending on the credit union you are applying to).
5. Enter your customer information for account opening.
6. Apply for internet banking. (Whether or not you need to apply for internet banking varies depending on the credit union you are applying to.)
7. Your application will be completed.

* Android 6-17
* Use a mobile phone line from NTT Docomo, au, SoftBank, or Rakuten Mobile
* Standard browser
* This application cannot be used if browser cookies and JavaScript are not enabled.
* Some models may not be able to use this application or may have difficulty using it.

■ Notes on Use
To prevent fraudulent account opening applications, the following functions are provided within the application.
- Phone number verification using SMS (Short Message Service) as part of identity verification.
- Limit the number of applications to the same credit union from a single mobile phone number to one.
- If multiple SMS messages are sent in a short period of time, SMS sending will be restricted.
