If you have not canceled the subscription before 24 hours of deadline, it will be updated in 24 hours.
You can cancel the subscription anytime if it is 24 hours before deadline.
You can cancel or change the subscription at the page of subscriptions of Google Play account.

Paid member's cancellation will be proceeded after contract expired.
When becoming a paid member, the free trial period will get expired even though there's free trial period left.
